Job description

We are working with a prestigious education establishment to recruit an experienced Interim Assistant Fire Safety Officer to join their team on an interim basis. This is an initial 6-month contract focused on undertaking quality assurance of FRAs and reporting within a range of complex and high risk environments.

The Opportunity

You will assist the Fire Safety Officer for this establishment in undertaking quality assurance aspects of complex, high risk FRAs and associated reports from these for sign off. You will also assist in other fire safety advice and guidance to relevant stakeholders and teams within the organisation.

What We’re Looking For

• Fire Safety related Level 4 Diploma qualification (Essential)
• Strong Fire Safety experience within complex, high risk environments
• Hold experience of quality assurance and sign off on high level FRAs
• Experience of fire safety / FRAs ideally within the science / tech related sectors
• Hold up to date fire safety legislation knowledge
• Membership of IFE (Graduate or higher preferred)
• Calm, pragmatic approach with strong, adaptable communication skills and the ability to liaise across a diverse workforce
• Ideally be available at short notice
