Job summary

Newcastle University invites applications for a full-time Research Associate to join the Intercultural Extended Reality (XR) research and project coordination team. The role spans 60% research and 40% administration, supporting longitudinal mixed-method data collection and cross-site procedures within the LIL-ECHOES project.

You will work with multiple schools to integrate linguistics, computing, heritage and AI elements, contributing to ethical data management and international collaboration

Qualifications

Practical experience with interdisciplinary research methods.
Strong coordination and organisational skills for complex projects.
Experience with longitudinal, mixed-method data collection.

Responsibilities

Collect, analyse and interpret research data and draw conclusions on outcomes.
Coordinate own work with others and manage competing priorities.
Lead participant-facing impact activities and coordinate consortium data.
Design, pilot and maintain harmonised data-collection instruments.
Ensure ethics approvals and GDPR compliance; manage data securely.
Contribute to dissemination through reports and publications.
