Job summary

Risktec Solutions in the United Kingdom is seeking an Integrity / Plant Engineer (Pressure Systems) to join our team in the Conventional Power and Clean Energy Industries.

You will deliver integrity assessments, develop risk-based inspection strategies, provide technical client support, and produce formal reports while staying within budgets. Some travel may be required.

Qualifications

  • BEng degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
  • Incorporated Engineer or working towards professional registration is desirable.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

  • Producing formal technical reports and other project deliverables on time and to budget.

Job description

Integrity / Plant Engineer (Pressure Systems)

Conventional Power and Clean Energy Industries (Biomass and Energy from Waste).

Requirements
  • Integrity assessment of defective power plant components – low and high temperature (e.g. reverse code calculation, fracture mechanics, finite element analysis).
  • Legislative compliance e.g. the UK PSSR.
  • Power plant inspection (e.g. steam and water pressure parts, boiler tube surveys, support surveys), with an understanding of materials selection, damage/degradation mechanisms and life assessment.
  • Power plant mechanical engineering.
  • Power plant operations and maintenance.

In addition, you will have excellent organisational, problem solving, communication and report writing skills.

  • Incorporated Engineer or working towards professional registration is desirable.
  • Minimum of 3 – 5 years of relevant experience.
