Job summary

WeDoTech is seeking an experienced Integration Engineer for a remote-first UK programme. You will design, develop and support integrations across enterprise applications and services, building API and system-to-system connections in a highly regulated environment.

You will work with cloud, IBM Maximo, JSON, XML and REST technologies, ensure security, data transformation, and collaborate with engineering and testing teams throughout delivery.

Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on integration experience in enterprise environments.
• Design and develop APIs and system-to-system integrations.
• Strong knowledge of REST, web services and integration patterns.
• Experience with JSON, XML and data transformation/mapping.
• Secure, auditable integrations with proper access controls.
• Experience in defence/government or UK public-sector programmes.
• Experience with Agile engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, configure and support integrations between enterprise applications and services.
• Build and maintain API and system-to-system integrations.
• Collaborate with technical and functional teams to translate integration requirements.

Requirements:

• Strong hands-on experience as an Integration Engineer / Integration Developer within complex enterprise environments.
• Experience designing and developing APIs and system-to-system integrations.
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, web services and integration patterns.
• Experience working with JSON, XML and data transformation/mapping.
• Experience troubleshooting and resolving complex integration and interface issues.
• Understanding of authentication, security and access controls within enterprise integrations.
• Experience supporting integration testing and deployment activities.
• Ability to work across multiple applications and technical teams.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Experience integrating enterprise asset management or IBM Maximo solutions with wider systems.
• Experience within defence, government or UK public-sector programmes.
• Experience working within highly regulated or security-critical environments.
• Knowledge of cloud-based integration services and architectures.
• Experience with messaging, middleware and asynchronous integration patterns.
• Experience working within Agile engineering and delivery teams

We are offering a 12-month initial contract, with potential to extend, for a remote-first role based in the UK and inside IR35. We are supporting a major programme within a complex and highly regulated environment, and we are looking for an experienced Integration Engineer to work closely with application, engineering and testing teams to deliver reliable integrations across the programme.
