Job summary

Manchester City Council is seeking a Team Manager to lead the Integrated Neighbourhood Team (INT) in the South locality, covering Didsbury, Burnage and Chorlton Park. You will supervise Social Workers and Social Care Assessors, guiding safeguarding and high-quality social work practice.

You will collaborate with health, housing, voluntary sector and community services to improve outcomes for Manchester residents, contributing to service priorities and innovations.

Qualifications

• Significant post-qualifying experience in adult social care services.
• Experience leading, supervising and developing social work practitioners.
• Sound knowledge ofCare Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005 and safeguarding adults' legislation.
• Experience managing complex casework, risk, safeguarding enquiries and statutory interventions.

Responsibilities

• Manage the operational running of an Integrated Neighbourhood Team in the South locality.
• Supervise, respond to complaints, approve budgets, and quality assure safeguarding and good social work practice.
• Inspire and support practitioners and promote excellent social work.
• Collaborate with partners across health, housing, voluntary sector and community services to improve outcomes.
