Job summary

Hartree Partners is hiring an Insurance Risk Associate in London. The role supports the Insurance Risk Manager in a global, fast-paced commodities environment, with hybrid work arrangements.

The successful candidate will help consolidate declarations, manage policies, liaise with brokers, and contribute to insurance projects across worldwide operations. A strong background in commodities insurance is preferred, with proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Qualifications

• Substantial experience within the commodities industry dealing with insurance or operations/trade support or within the insurance market.
• Knowledge of Incoterms.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Proficient in Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Consolidate and process monthly insurance declarations for the Group.
• Assist daily management of key insurance policies.
• Respond to ad-hoc in-house insurance queries.
• Manage areas of cover for worldwide storage facilities.
• Undertake projects to improve the administrative side of group insurance.
• Daily liaison with brokers, colleagues and overseas operations.

Key Accountabilities

• Consolidate and process monthly Insurance declarations for the Group
• Assist in daily management of Key Insurance Policies
• Respond to ad-hoc in-house Insurance queries
• Manage and oversee specific areas of cover in relation to Worldwide Storage facilities
• Undertake projects to improve the administrative side of Group Insurance
• Daily liaison with brokers, department colleagues and overseas Operations worldwide
• Engage regularly with the Insurance market including off-site meetings
• Review internal agreements and advise on relevant coverage available under Group Policies, (Warehouse Agreements / Purchase & Sale contracts)
• Assist with local placements and queries from overseas operations
• Periodic review of key insurance documents
• Ad hoc analysis projects

Skills and Experience

• Substantial experience within the commodities Industry working for either a Trade House dealing specifically with Insurance or Operations / Trade Support or within the Insurance Market.
• Knowledge of Incoterms.
• Working knowledge of:

• PowerPoint
