A leading global insurance firm in the UK is seeking a 2-7 PQE insurance generalist lawyer to join its legal team in a autonomous role. The successful candidate will handle a broad mix of commercial and insurance-specific contracts, providing guidance across departments and supporting onboarding of new clients.

The role requires strong negotiation, analytical and communication skills, with a proactive, detail-oriented approach in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• The ideal candidate will be a 2-7 PQE insurance generalist lawyer, preferably with experience in a law firm, financial services or insurance firm.
• Excellent contract negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
• Proactive, detail oriented, and able to thrive in a fast paced, innovative environment. Strong problem solving abilities and a collaborative mindset.
• Candidates outside this PQE range with the prerequisite experience would be considered for this role.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts (supplier, vendor, customer terms).
• Draft, review, and negotiate insurance contracts (introducers, TOBAs, distribution).
• Maintain the precedent bank; assist with training on legal and compliance issues.
