Job summary

Primus Connect is recruiting a highly analytical Source System/Technical Business Analyst to support a large-scale insurance data transformation programme in London. The role blends technical data analysis, data modelling awareness and SQL-driven investigation of source systems.

Hybrid work with circa 1 day per week in London; contract is long-term, with start ASAP or September 2026 and daily rate £550–£600.

Qualifications

• Insurance data concepts and modelling awareness
• Strong SQL and data investigation abilities
• Experience with data transformations across insurance domains

Responsibilities

• Investigate unfamiliar insurance source systems and databases.
• Use SQL to interrogate complex data estates and validate findings.
• Identify where key insurance entities are represented within source systems.
• Understand how data entities relate to one another.
• Reduce large numbers of source tables to the subset required for a given requirement.
• Analyze data history, overwrites, effective dates and lifecycle.
• Collaborate with data SMEs and system owners to understand data behaviour.
• Carry out source-to-target analysis and document assumptions.
• Provide data designers with sufficient analysis to begin detailed design.
