Job summary

4Recruitment Services Ltd is seeking an Insurance and Risk Manager in Epping, Essex. This full-time temporary role is on-site three days per week, 36 hours in total, with a competitive hourly rate. You will provide professional leadership across the insurance and risk functions.

You will develop and procure the insurance programme, manage policies and renewals, oversee claims, maintain the corporate risk register, and work with senior leaders to identify and mitigate risks and ensure governance.

Qualifications

• Significant senior-level insurance experience.
• Proven experience leading tenders, contracts and renewals.
• Strong understanding of corporate and strategic risk management.
• Experience maintaining or contributing to a corporate risk register.
• Knowledge of insurance claims and policy administration.
• Experience advising senior officers and stakeholders.

Location: Epping, Essex

Contract: Full-Time, Temporary

Hours: 36 hours per week

Rate: £34.68 PAYE / £44.48 Umbrella per hour

Working Arrangement: On-site 3 days per week

The Role

As Insurance and Risk Manager, you will provide professional leadership and advice across the insurance and risk functions. You will take responsibility for the development and procurement of the insurance programme, manage policies and renewals, oversee the insurance claims process and maintain the corporate risk register. You will work closely with managers and senior leaders to identify, assess and mitigate corporate risks, ensuring appropriate governance and effective risk management across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead on all insurance matters, including the development and procurement of the insurance programme.
• Manage insurance policies, contracts and annual renewals.
• Lead and negotiate significant insurance tenders and renewals.

• Experience maintaining or contributing to a corporate risk register.
• Strong knowledge of insurance claims and policy administration.
• Experience providing professional advice to senior officers, stakeholders or members.
• Experience managing strategic-level meetings and working collaboratively across an organisation.
