Job summary

A leading engineering staffing provider is seeking an Instrument & Control Engineer for a role at the Wytch Farm oilfield near Wareham. The position involves working within a dynamic team to deliver projects, with responsibilities in design, commissioning, and ensuring compliance with standards. Candidates should hold an accredited engineering degree, with experience in the Oil & Gas sector preferred. This is an initial 12-month contract with potential for extension.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in the Oil & Gas Industry is desirable.
  • Experience working with ATEX equipment is desirable but not essential.
  • Experience of Functional Safety IEC61511 is desired but not essential.
  • Experience of Operational Technology cyber security is desired but not essential.
  • Valid UK driving license.

Responsibilities

  • Form part of a multi-discipline team for HAZOP and LOPA studies.
  • To work with other disciplines to develop project requirements from concept.
  • Producing documentation such as loop sheets and functional design specifications.
  • Leading a team to complete commissioning activities.
  • Liaising with and managing key third party contractors.
  • Ensuring all instrumentation and control aspects meet relevant standards.
  • To follow the requirements of Change Management policies.
  • To actively participate in the site's working safety initiative.
  • Ensure Health, Safety and Environmental requirements are adhered to.
