A local music education provider in the United Kingdom seeks talented instrumental teachers of Brass, Vocal, Keyboard, and Piano. The role requires teaching individual and group lessons, as well as whole class sessions. Salary Range – Instrumental Salary Range: £19,970 F.T.E (£22.01 p/hr) to £29,825 F.T.E (£32.87 p/hr) 33 weeks delivery. Whole Class Salary Range: £40,739 F.T.E (£37.99 p/hr) 36 weeks delivery plus 3 weeks planning.
Warwickshire Music is the principal provider of music education in Warwickshire and is one of three collaborative lead organisations of the Heart of England Music Hub. We teach over 10,000 pupils each week and provide instrumental, vocal and class music teaching in schools, community music centres and a wide range of ensembles and music groups each week for children and young people across Warwickshire.
In response to significant demand, we are looking for instrumental specialist teachers to join our team to teach individual, small groups and whole class lessons across Warwickshire. We are particularly interested in recruiting teachers in the following instrumental specialisms:
Teaching will take place during the school day with some teaching expected at Area Music Centres which can run up to 18:30 p.m. We welcome new applications to the instrumental teaching profession and will provide support and training to enable ongoing individual professional development, especially in small group and whole class teaching practice.
Our teachers are expected to be committed, enthusiastic musicians and teachers who can inspire pupils and communicate with clarity, conviction and sensitivity. You will be organised, skilled and confident in the use of technology, receptive to new ideas, ambitious for your own professional development and able to work independently and as part of a team of professionals dedicated to the musical development and safeguarding of children and young people.
Teacher pay is based upon hourly rates ranging from £22.01 to £32.87 per hour for group, individual and ensemble teaching, depending on experience, and up to £37.99 per hour for whole class first access instrumental teaching delivery. Pay is annualised and paid as a monthly salary throughout the year. Teaching hours may increase or decrease through the year in response to demand. Travel expenses are also paid, and our teaching roles benefit from membership of the Teacher Pension Scheme.
