Barnsley Music Service are recruiting an Orchestral Strings Tutor to work with an outstanding team of music tutors, young people and in great schools. We deliver an inclusive programme of instrumental and vocal tuition, creating inspiring musical opportunities for children and young people.

Employment Details
  • Employer: Barnsley Music Service
  • Location: Various schools throughout the Borough
  • Contract Type: Part-Time Permanent
  • Start Date: January 2026
  • Pay: Unqualified Teacher Pay Scale 3-6
  • Closing Date: 14th November 2025 at 23:59
Role Overview
  • Teaching violin/viola/cello and double bass to small groups (3-4 children) and individuals in primary and secondary schools throughout the borough
  • Directing a string orchestra on a Friday late afternoon at our Music Centre
  • Working 2 days per week (must include a Friday)
