The role

As an Instructional Designer, you’ll have an out-of-the-ordinary role with opportunities for professional growth and career development. You will be responsible for analyzing, designing, developing, and maintaining courses to support training, development, and compliance for London Fire Brigade’s operational teams.

• Analyze customer training needs to determine appropriate content, objectives, learning solutions, and evaluation methods.
• Design, develop, and evaluate blended learning solutions and related artefacts.
• Collaborate effectively with technical Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to ensure content is targeted, audience-appropriate, and compliant with standards.
• Conduct reviews of training courses and recommend improvements to content and delivery methods.

Essential experience of the Instructional Designer

• Significant recent experience in developing learning programs and materials.
• Knowledge and application of recognized learning methodologies.
• Experience with visual design principles, including images, graphics, and videos.

Qualifications for the Instructional Designer

• Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) in Instructional Design/Technology or related work experience.

The successful candidate must be able to obtain BPSS security clearance for this role.
