Job summary

The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) is seeking an experienced Institute Manager for the Marshall Institute for Philanthropy and Social Entrepreneurship. This full-time, fixed-term 12-month appointment offers a salary from £53,949 to £62,160 per annum, with potential progression to £69,073 including London allowance, and a hybrid working pattern.

The role leads a six-person administrative team and reports to the Institute Director, supporting finance, HR and facilities

Qualifications

• Proven line management experience of professional teams.
• Experience working closely with senior academics and stakeholders.
• Have proven organisational strategic development and implementation experience.
• Experience of managing budgets and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the Instituto programmes and support the development and strategic direction of the Institute.
• Ensure effective operations of the Institute in terms of finances, human resources and physical facilities.
• Directly manage the administrative team of six staff delivering teaching programmes, events, communications and marketing.
