Job summary

Coverad Limited is seeking an installer to join our team in the UK. You will load the van, drive to site and install our bespoke radiator covers and pipe boxing in occupied buildings, keeping disruption to a minimum.

When not on site you’ll work in the Swallowfield factory with the production team. The role offers £19 per hour, a van for work, 25 days holiday and a pension, with permanent employment after a three‑month probation.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence required.
• Experience in construction, installation, fit-out or a related trade.
• Able to work from a drawing and a worksheet.
• Manual handling; some covers are large and require two people.
• Willingness to undergo a DBS check due to work in hospitals/schools/care homes

Responsibilities

• Load the van and drive to site.
• Install covers and pipe boxing in occupied buildings, keeping disruption to a minimum.
• Remove old covers when needed and make good to safety guidelines.
• Get the worksheet signed off by the customer on completion.
• Between installs, work in the Swallowfield factory with the production team.

Job description

Coverad manufactures bespoke radiator covers and pipe boxing for hospitals, schools, care homes and commercial buildings across the UK. We are looking for an installer to join the team.

The job

You will load the van, drive to site and install our covers and pipe boxing. Sites are usually occupied buildings, so the work needs to be clean, careful and done around the people using the space. You will remove old covers where needed, fit ours, make good in line with safety guidelines and get the worksheet signed off by the customer before completion.

Between installs you will work in the factory alongside the production team at Swallowfield. When there are no deliveries on, you are on the floor. This is not a delivery-only role.

What you need

• A full UK driving licence
• Experience in construction, installation, fit-out or a related trade
• Able to work from a drawing and a worksheet
• Comfortable with manual handling. Some covers are large and need two people
• Confident dealing with site contacts and customers directly
• Willingness to undergo a DBS check, which we arrange. Much of our work is in hospitals, schools and care homes
