Job summary

Arjo in the UK is seeking a hands-on Installations Engineer to install ceiling hoists, bathing systems and patient handling equipment across hospitals, care homes and other healthcare facilities. This field-based role requires independent work, travel across the UK and Ireland, and delivering high-quality installations in line with Arjo procedures.

You'll liaise with customers to schedule installations, complete documentation, maintain tools and vehicles, and support service and upgrade projects

Qualifications

• Electrical, mechanical and/or plumbing qualification (City & Guilds Level 2/3 or equivalent).
• Previous experience in an engineering installation or field-based role.
• Knowledge of building and construction materials.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out installations safely, efficiently, and in line with Arjo procedures.
• Liaising with customers to coordinate installation schedules and site requirements.
• Completing all installation documentation accurately and on time.
• Maintaining high standards of workmanship, professionalism, and customer service.
• Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.
• Providing feedback and recommendations to support product and service improvements.
• Maintaining tools, equipment, and company assets in excellent condition.
• Supporting service, repair, retrofit, and upgrade projects when required.

What We're Looking For

Essential:

• Electrical, Mechanical and/or Plumbing qualification (City & Guilds Level 2/3 or equivalent).
• Previous experience in an engineering installation or field-based role.
• Knowledge of building and construction materials.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and mobile technology.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Good physical fitness and confidence working in demanding site environments.

Desirable:

• Experience within the medical device, healthcare, or patient handling industry.
• PASMA and IPAF certification.
• Experience working at heights.
• Experience using plant machinery, drilling, and cutting equipment.

Travel Requirements

This is a field-based role covering the South of England, with regular travel required. Occasional overnight stays and travel to sites across the UK, Ireland, and Isle of Man may be necessary.

Additional Information

The successful candidate will be required to undergo an Enhanced DBS check, funded by Arjo.
