Job description

Quality, Repairs & Installation Engineer – Redditch (with UK & international travel – incl. monthly trips to the USA) – £40,000 – £45,000 DOE + benefits

Arden Personnel is working with a long-established, family-run manufacturer and distributor in Redditch who are growing their machinery division and need a technically sharp, customer-focused engineer to join the team.

This isn’t a “sit in the workshop and fix the same thing every day” kind of role. You’ll be installing and supporting specialist adhesive application machinery used by B2B manufacturers across the UK and around the world – and you’ll be the person clients trust when something requires diagnosing, fixing or improving.

What will my day to day responsibilities be for this Quality, Repairs & Installation Engineer role?
  • Installing, testing, and commissioning adhesive application machinery at customer sites (UK & overseas).
  • Providing remote and on-site support for service, repairs, and fault-finding – using a calm, systematic approach.
  • Working with the manufacturer to resolve mechanical/electrical issues and feeding back quality improvements.
  • Delivering operator training, so customers can use the kit confidently.
  • Maintaining and repairing the company’s own production equipment.
  • Being flexible with time zones – sometimes customers need help outside standard UK hours.
  • Travel-wise, you should expect on average 1 trip to the USA per month, and sometimes a week away at a time.

  • Able to work from technical documentation
    • Can follow manuals, drawings and installation instructions.
  • Willing to travel
    • UK-wide and international travel is part of the role, including occasional week-long trips and regular visits to the US.
