Job summary

Workdry International Ltd in Bracknell is seeking an Installation Operative to join our team. The role involves installing pipework, supporting drivers, and conducting on-site and branch-yard pump installations across the UK, with a strong emphasis on safety and collaboration.

Applicants should be able to travel, workflexibly, and hold a valid UK driving licence. A CSCS card and water hygiene credentials are preferred; full training and a comprehensive benefits package are provided.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work on client sites including construction, wastewater and clean water.
• Flexible working hours and be available for on-call weekends (likely 1 in 3).
• Willingness to travel to jobs across the UK and away from home when required.
• Full UK driving licence (no more than 6 points).

Responsibilities

• Install pipework and assist with loading/unloading vehicles and checking paperwork.
• Promote the company’s mission and provide high-quality installation service across the UK.
• Maintain safety, stop installations when issues arise, and coordinate with supervisors.
• Identify improvements to make operations more efficient and reliable.
• Support day-to-day branch and regional projects under Installation Supervisors.

About The Role

We are looking to welcome an Installation Operative to join our te am based at our Bracknell b ranch. This role will be based at both our branch yard as well as working on site based pump installations when required.

This role requires a confident self starter who can work with a team ethos. Flexibility is a must due to the changing needs of our business due to the requirements of our customers.

This role will come into contact with Selwood customers, so communication and good interpersonal skills are paramount.

The Installation Operative will be heavily involved in the day to day operations of our branch and projects within the surrounding region under the direction of the Installation Supervisors.

Tasks & Responsibilities

• You will promote and exercise the company’s mission statement and core values to deliver a high-quality installation service across the UK.
• Your role will be to install pipework and assist our drivers with loading and unloading of our vehicles as well as checking against paperwork, missing items, damages, and fuel charges.
• As this is a physically demanding role a good level of fitness is required.
• Identify and recommend creative solutions and processes to make our business more unique and attractive and to become more efficient.
• Put safety first every time, demonstrate the confidence, knowledge, and experience to stop the installation and advise your supervisor if any safety issues arise at any time.

Qualifications & Personal Attributes

• Must have the aptitude to work on client sites, including construction, wastewater, and clean water.
• Flexible working hours and be available to be part of an ‘on call’ rota *is likely to be 1 in 3 weekends*.
• Must be willing to travel to jobs throughout the UK and on occasions work away from home.
• Full UK driving licence (no more than 6 points).

Preferred (but Not Essential)

• Holder of a construction skills CSCS card.
• National Water Hygiene Card.
• Confined space trained.
• Forklift truck operator certification.
• An understanding of the workings of a temporary / permanent pumping solution.

This role requires the employees to be willing and able to work at heights, work in confined spaces, lone working and work with sewage.
