A reputable organization in the industrial sector is seeking an Installation & Maintenance Engineer to install and repair industrial garage doors in the UK. The ideal candidate has mechanical and electrical expertise, diagnostic and welding skills, and a valid driver's license. This full-time role offers a competitive salary of £38,000 plus benefits including a company vehicle, overtime, and 25 days leave plus bank holidays. The position requires travel and flexibility across the UK for client sites.

This well‑established organisation installs and services perimeter security and industrial doors throughout the UK. They are currently in a period of growth and now require an Installation and Maintenance Engineer to work on various client sites. Although previous door experience would be advantageous it is not essential as cross training can be provided.
This is a full‑time permanent position installing, fault‑finding and repairing industrial garage doors for the company's ever‑growing client base. You could be based out of either Port Talbot or Carmarthen offices and will travel to customers’ sites on a daily basis. Occasional overnight trips will be required for clients further than 11/2 hours from work. You will work a 40‑hour week with overtime often on offer and call‑out on a roster basis. There are no shifts or standard weekend requirements. The work involves both electrical and mechanical duties but with a definite electrical bias.
Field service or factory maintenance experience within a relevant industry, mechanical and electrical engineering expertise with an electrical bias, diagnostic skills, welding skills, ability to pass security clearance, holding a CSCS/CCSNG/IPAF card is advantageous but not essential, DHF/Gate Safe trained or willing to obtain, valid driver's license essential, willingness to work away from home and outside normal hours when required, physically fit and active to meet the needs of the role, self‑motivated, proactive, and capable of independent work, team player with strong listening skills and customer focus, exceptional problem‑solving skills.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Maintenance Engineer to join the niche Industrial Door sector and learn new skills along the way. They are offering an excellent salary, company vehicle, overtime paid at 11/2 over 40 hours and double time on Sundays, call‑out allowance, 25 days leave PA plus bank holidays, as well as product training as required.
