Job summary

St Alban’s Catholic High School invites applications for a Teacher of Spanish to join our Languages Department on a fixed-term maternity cover from November 2026. You will teach Spanish to pupils aged 11–18 (KS3–KS5) and inspire engagement with language learning.

Qualifications

• Suitable for ECT or Qualified Teacher Status.
• Passion for excellence in the teaching of languages.
• Ability to maintain and raise standards of student attainment and achievement and to monitor and support student progress.
• Ability to effectively lead, manage and motivate students and the capacity to work collaboratively with colleagues.
• Excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills.
• The attributes to being a strong form tutor.
