Job summary

Randstad Education in the United Kingdom seeks a dedicated SEN class teacher to deliver engaging lessons for ages 7–19 with GCSE-level work. You will work in a rural site and support a caring team, ensuring students’ safety and progress.

The role requires QTS, experience with SEN students, and a full enhanced DBS check. You will work term-time with INSET days, and must have permanent right to work in the UK.

Qualifications

• QTS is required to teach in the UK.
• Proven experience supporting students with special educational needs.
• Friendly, organized approach with a passion for teaching.
• Eligibility to work in the UK and full enhanced DBS check.
• Access to transport due to rural site location.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver creative, stimulating SEN lessons for ages 7–19, including GCSE-level work.
• Create a safe, nurturing space to help every student reach their potential.
• Supervise teaching assistants and collaborate with a strong team.
• Support emotional well‑being and developmental needs of students.
• Communicate progress with parents to keep everyone informed.
• Ensure safeguarding and safety standards are upheld.
• Provide feedback to pupils and parents to support learning.
• Maintain calm, professional conduct with challenging behaviours.
