Job summary

Education First Recruitment is recruiting a Science Teacher for a Romford-based secondary school start in January 2027. The role is full-time and long-term, offering £130–£150 per day and weekly pay.

You will deliver engaging Science lessons across KS3 and KS4 (Biology, Chemistry, Physics), support practical investigations, assess progress, and help students achieve GCSE outcomes in a collaborative department.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or recognised equivalent is required.
• Strong subject knowledge across Biology, Chemistry and Physics.
• Experience teaching in a UK secondary school is desirable.
• Confident classroom and behaviour management skills.

Responsibilities

• Teach Science across KS3 and KS4.
• Deliver Biology, Chemistry and Physics lessons.
• Plan lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
• Prepare students for GCSE examinations and assessments.
• Organise and supervise practical experiments safely.
• Assess, monitor and track student progress.
• Differentiate lessons to meet varying learning abilities.
• Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom engagement.
• Work collaboratively with the Science department and wider school team.
