Job summary

Justteachers Ltd are assisting a well-established secondary school in Leicestershire to appoint an English Teacher from September 2026. You will teach English across Key Stages 3 and 4, plan and deliver engaging lessons, and assess student progress to support strong attainment.

The placement runs for two terms (September 2026 – Easter 2027). You will work with a collaborative department, participate in parents' evenings and contribute to curriculum development and school-wide wellbeing

Qualifications

• QTS or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching English within a secondary setting.
• Strong subject knowledge.
• Excellent classroom management skills.
• Ability to inspire students of varying abilities.
• Enhanced DBS or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Teach English across Key Stages 3 and 4.
• Plan and deliver engaging lessons that motivate learners.
• Assess, monitor and report on student progress.
• Maintain high expectations for behaviour and achievement.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to support curriculum development.
• Participate in parents’ evenings and departmental meetings.
