Job summary

Milk Education Liverpool is seeking an Art & Design/DT Teacher (Secondary) to deliver engaging lessons across GCSE and KS3-4. You will teach across specialisms such as Product Design, Graphics, Resistant Materials, Textiles, Food, and Art & Design, in Stockport and surrounding areas.

Experience in UK secondary schools is essential, with QTS/QTLS or strong cover experience. The role offers consistent work in Wirral and Liverpool schools, with pathways to long-term placements for the right

Qualifications

• QTS/QTLS or strong UK secondary cover experience as an Unqualified Teacher/Instructor.
• Proven experience delivering Art & Design and/or DT in UK secondary schools.
• Strong behaviour management and safeguarding knowledge.
• Up-to-date knowledge of GCSE specifications and assessment.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in Art & Design and/or DT aligned to the secondary curriculum.
• Facilitate practical workshop activities, ensuring safe use of tools, materials, and equipment.
• Assess, track, and support student progress at KS3-KS4 (KS5 experience welcome).
• Manage classroom behaviour effectively, promoting an inclusive and creative learning environment.
• Contribute to department resources, enrichment, and displays, showcasing student work.
