Job summary

Teaching Personnel is recruiting Science Teachers for Surrey secondary schools. Roles cover Biology, Chemistry, Physics or General Science with KS3/KS4 teaching. Competitive daily rates and flexible contracts across day-to-day, short-term, long-term and permanent opportunities.

Start dates include September 2026 or ASAP, with safeguarding checks and ongoing support from a dedicated local consultant to help place you in the right school and role.

Qualifications

• QTS or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Strong subject knowledge in Science.
• Experience teaching Science at secondary level.
• Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
• A passion for helping young people achieve their potential.
• ECTs and experienced teachers are both encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Planning and delivering engaging Science lessons across KS3 and KS4.
• Inspiring students and developing their interest in Science.
• Differentiating lessons to meet the needs of all learners.
• Assessing and monitoring student progress.
• Maintaining high standards of behaviour and classroom management.
• Working collaboratively with the wider Science department.
• Creating a positive, inclusive and engaging learning environment.
