Job summary

Harwich and Dovercourt High School is seeking a dedicated Cover Supervisor to support teachers and students during term-time. The role is 32 hours per week, across 39 weeks per year, with a focus on preparing cover work, supervising students and modelling excellent conduct.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in learning support/early years with recent school experience.
• Understanding of child development and curriculum; ability to track pupil progress.
• Strong communication, teamwork and information sharing abilities.
• Solid literacy, numeracy and ICT skills.

Responsibilities

• Collate and organise cover work for teaching staff.
• Supervise pupils engaged in learning activities.
• Act as a role model with high expectations of conduct and behaviour.
• Follow safeguarding, health, safety and data protection policies.
