Job summary

Randstad Education Wakefield is seeking a dedicated primary teacher to inspire pupils in a well-supported Wakefield school community. You will deliver engaging lessons, track progress, and build positive relationships with parents and carers.

Applicants must hold QTS, have experience in UK primary education, and be registered on the DBS Update Service (or willing to) to join a supportive team offering regular planning time and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with proven success teaching within a UK primary school.
• Strong understanding of the National Curriculum with differentiation skills.
• Current Enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service (or willingness to process one).
• Excellent communication, time-management, and classroom leadership skills.
• Desire to maintain high academic and behavioural standards across primary age groups.

Responsibilities

• Structure, plan, and deliver high-calibre lessons that foster curiosity and deep learning.
• Maintain accurate, thorough tracking of pupil progress to maximise individual growth.
• Cultivate a supportive, inspiring classroom environment built on high standards and respect.
• Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and specialised tutors to deliver targeted learning.
• Maintain proactive, warm, and highly professional relationships with parents and carers.
