Job summary

Education First Recruitment is seeking a dedicated Primary Teacher for a primary school in Merton, London, with an ASAP start and long-term placement. You will plan and deliver engaging lessons across the primary curriculum while fostering a positive, inclusive classroom environment.

The ideal candidate holds QTS and has experience across EYFS, KS1 or KS2; you will adapt teaching to a diverse range of learners, assess progress and collaborate with Teaching Assistants to support pupil achievement.

Qualifications

• Must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and have previous primary teaching experience.
• Experience teaching within EYFS, KS1 or KS2 is desirable.
• ASAP start.

Responsibilities

• Planning and delivering engaging lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
• Teaching primary-aged pupils across the relevant key stage.
• Establishing clear classroom routines and maintaining positive behaviour.
• Adapting lessons and resources to accommodate different learning abilities.
• Assessing and monitoring pupils' progress, identifying areas for development.
• Providing additional guidance and support to pupils who need extra help.
• Encouraging participation, confidence and independence throughout the school day.
• Creating a safe, inclusive and stimulating learning environment.
• Working collaboratively with Teaching Assistants and colleagues to support pupils' learning.
• Communicating effectively with the wider school team regarding pupil progress and development.
