Job summary

Highwoods Academy in Doncaster is seeking two Teachers to join the team from November 2026, covering KS1 and KS2 classes. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons, building strong pupil outcomes, and contributing to a collaborative school community.

The role requires a passion for teaching, a solid knowledge of the National Curriculum, and a commitment to professional development within a forward-thinking Academy Trust.

Qualifications

• An outstanding classroom practitioner.
• Excellent classroom behaviour management and assessment skills.
• The ability to engage and enthuse pupils through creative approaches to teaching & learning within a primary setting.
• Excellent planning and preparation that meets the needs of all pupils.
• Good communication skills.
• Someone who works well as a team.

Responsibilities

• Teach KS1 and KS2 classes at Highwoods Academy.
• Plan lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
• Assess and monitor pupil progress and provide feedback.
• Collaborate with colleagues and school leaders to raise attainment.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and reflective practice.
• Ensure safeguarding and child protection checks are completed.
