Job summary

James Knott Primary School is seeking a Headteacher to provide strategic leadership, drive school improvement and uphold safeguarding standards. You will work with the Trust’s Executive Leadership Team to raise outcomes, develop curriculum, and engage families and the wider community.

The role requires leading teaching quality, data-driven improvement, and responsible resource management within the Trust framework. Ashington-based post with a focus on inclusive, high-achievement education.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and raise academic standards so that outcomes meet or exceed national expectations.
• Deliver an inspiring, ambitious curriculum that meets the needs of all pupils.
• Ensure safeguarding and the wellbeing of children remain paramount.
• Lead and develop high-quality teaching through rigorous monitoring and professional development.
• Use pupil performance data strategically to drive improvement.
• Foster strong partnerships with parents, carers and the wider community.
• Lead effective resource and financial management in line with Trust policy.
• Ensure compliance with statutory, safeguarding and health & safety requirements.
