Job summary

Cove School in Hampshire is seeking a talented female PE teacher to join a dynamic department. The successful candidate will help grow our PE provision, develop extra-curricular activities and inspire pupils to engage, achieve and thrive across the curriculum.

You will work across years 7–11 with a strong emphasis on inclusive practice, collaboration with staff, and continuous professional development in a supportive school community.

Qualifications

• Good degree in a directly related subject.
• Thorough knowledge of the (11-16) subject Curriculum up to GCSE.
• Recognised teaching qualification (QTS/PGCE or equivalent).
• Awareness of safeguarding requirements and good practice.
• Good level of IT literacy.

Responsibilities

• Engage, enthuse, motivate and challenge pupils to excel academically.
• Maintain relentlessly high expectations of themselves and pupils.
• Teach across the full age range (year 7 to 11).
• Share resources and good practice; observe, mentor and participate in CPD.
• Teach a standard timetable allocation.
• Contribute to the department's running: exams, meetings and delegated tasks.
• Actively safeguard and promote the welfare of all children.
• Support the school's aims and policies.
