Job summary

West Hertfordshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a proactive Children’s Nurse Leader to join our Paediatric team as a Matron on a 12-month fixed-term contract or secondment.

The post holder will provide visible clinical and operational leadership across the paediatric footprint, including Starfish Ward, Safari Day Unit and Ambulatory Care, and Children’s Outpatient Departments across Watford and Hemel Hempstead.

Qualifications

• Senior nurse leadership experience in paediatrics.
• Ability to lead quality improvement and governance.
• Experience across multiple paediatric services is desirable.
• Strong communication and team-development skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide visible clinical and operational leadership across paediatric services.
• Lead quality improvement initiatives and governance activities.
