Job summary

John Ruskin College is seeking an inspirational Maths Lecturer to teach GCSE and Functional Skills Maths with ESOL provision as needed. You will plan engaging lessons, assess progress, and contribute to curriculum development within a collaborative FE college environment.

The role requires a degree in Mathematics and a recognised teaching qualification, with experience in GCSE/Functional Skills Maths and strong classroom practice.

Qualifications

• Must have recognised teaching qualification.
• Degree level in Mathematics or equivalent.
• Significant experience teaching GCSE and/or Functional Skills Maths.
• Strong classroom practice with a focus on learner achievement.

Responsibilities

• Deliver GCSE and Functional Skills Maths lessons to learners.
• Deliver ESOL classes where required.
• Act as Course or Subject Leader where appropriate.
• Contribute to curriculum planning, course reviews, and quality improvement activities.
