Job summary

Morgan Hunt is recruiting a Maths Lecturer for a prestigious Further Education College in London. The role offers full-time or part-time hours with a temporary contract and a pay rate of up to £40 per hour, negotiable based on experience.

Start date ASAP. You will deliver Maths lessons across GCSE and Functional Skills, plan and assess, monitor progress, and support learners of varying abilities while upholding safeguarding and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching Mathematics within a Further Education College or similar setting.
• Excellent subject knowledge in Mathematics.
• Strong communication and classroom management skills.
• Genuine passion for supporting learners to reach potential.
• PGCE, Cert Ed, or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Experience delivering GCSE and Functional Skills Mathematics.
• Experience supporting learners with additional learning needs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging Mathematics lessons across GCSE and Functional Skills levels.
• Plan, prepare, and assess lessons in line with curriculum requirements.
• Monitor student progress and provide timely, constructive feedback.
• Support learners with varying abilities to improve confidence and attainment.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress and achievement.
• Contribute to curriculum development and quality improvement.
• Work with colleagues and support staff to enhance learner outcomes.
• Ensure all teaching meets safeguarding, equality, and quality standards.
