Job summary

Ark Carleton High School in Wakefield invites applications for a Maths Teacher and Year Leader. This role combines high-quality Maths teaching with strategic leadership of a designated year group, coordinating with form tutors and families to uphold high behaviour, attendance and achievement.

Qualifications

Evidence of high-quality Maths teaching and strong subject knowledge.
Experience leading a year group or pastoral initiatives is desirable.

Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality Maths lessons that inspire and challenge all learners.
Provide strategic leadership for a designated year group in line with the school’s vision.
Lead and support form tutors to ensure consistent school systems and expectations.
Monitor attendance, behaviour, attainment and progress with effective interventions.
Promote high standards of conduct, punctuality and achievement across the year group.
Collaborate with colleagues, parents and external partners to secure the best outcomes for students.
Organise assemblies, form-time activities and pastoral initiatives to support development.
Use data to identify priorities, monitor impact and drive improvement.
