Job summary

Cheshire College South & West is seeking an innovative Lecturer in Childcare and Early Years to join the Crewe Campus. The role involves preparing and teaching on a range of Childcare and Early Years courses, aspiring to outstanding learning experiences, and supporting learners in college and workplace settings.

The successful candidate will have a degree in a relevant discipline, teacher training or willingness to obtain it, and a commitment to equality, diversity and safeguarding.

Qualifications

• Degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline.
• Teacher training (PGCE, DTLLS or CertEd) or willingness to work towards.
• GCSE Grade C (4/5) in English and Maths.
• Understanding of equality, diversity and inclusion in work and the learning environment.
• Up-to-date occupational experience.
• Enhanced DBS check.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and teach on a range of Childcare and Early Years courses.
• Contribute to aspirational teaching, learning and assessment.
• Train and assess learners in the workplace when required.
• Keep accurate records for learners’ progress in College and the workplace.
