The successful candidate will join a collaborative Business and Economics department, contribute to wider sixth-form activities and bring current affairs into classroom discussions.

Qualifications

• Economics teacher with ability to teach KS4 and KS5.
• Strong subject knowledge across the Economics curriculum.
• Experience teaching GCSE and/or A-Level Economics is desirable.
• Formal teaching qualification with QTS, such as a PGCE.
• Able to develop students' analytical, quantitative and evaluative skills.
• Strong understanding of examination requirements and assessment.

Responsibilities

• Teach Economics at KS4 and KS5.
• Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level examinations.
• Contribute to sixth-form enrichment and university/Careers activities.
• Bring current economic affairs into lessons with real-world examples.
• Collaborate with colleagues to plan curriculum and monitor progress.
