Job summary

Hampreston CE VA First School is seeking a capable KS2 class teacher for a 0.6 FTE fixed-term maternity cover starting January 2027. The post is based in Dorset and carries a mainscale pro rata salary in the range £23,040–£28,164 per year.

The successful applicant will be an inspirational teacher who can analyse data to drive standards, liaise with senior leaders and contribute to a supportive, Christian ethos within a thriving school community.

Qualifications

• A skilled, inspirational teacher experienced in KS2.
• Able to inspire, motivate and support pupils and achieve outstanding outcomes.
• Engage relational practice with all pupils.
• Ensure equity of provision for all pupils in year group.
• Analyse data and use it effectively to improve standards.
• Passionate about raising and maintaining high standards.
• Liaise successfully with Seniors Leaders.
• Be a great team player.
• A competent and confident communicator.
• Uphold and embed school values and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Fulfil the professional responsibilities of a teacher, as set out in the School Teachers’ Pay and Conditions Document
