Job summary

Supply Desk is seeking a dedicated Reception Class Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in Rickmansworth from September 2026. In this EYFS role you will plan and deliver engaging lessons across the Reception curriculum, support early learning and build a positive, inclusive classroom environment.

You will hold Qualified Teacher Status, with ECTs welcome, and demonstrate excellent classroom management and communication.

Qualifications

• QTS required; Early Career Teachers (ECTs) welcome.
• Experience teaching in Reception/EYFS desirable.
• Strong understanding of the EYFS curriculum.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons across the Reception/EYFS curriculum.
• Support pupils’ academic, social and emotional development.
• Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils.
• Monitor and assess pupil progress, providing clear feedback and next steps.
• Create a positive, inclusive and well-managed classroom environment.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff and parents.
• Contribute positively to the wider life of the school.
