Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an appropriate recognised teaching qualification.
• English specialists with strong subject knowledge.
• Passionate about English Language and Literature.
• Confident teaching engaging lessons to pupils of different abilities.
• Able to build positive relationships while maintaining high expectations.
• Committed to safeguarding children and young people.

Responsibilities

• Planning and delivering engaging English Language and Literature lessons across KS3 and KS4.
• Inspiring pupils to become confident readers and writers.
• Creating a positive classroom environment built around high expectations.
• Differentiating and adapting teaching to meet individual pupil needs.
• Supporting pupils with SEND and other learning needs.
• Preparing pupils for GCSE examinations where appropriate.
• Maintaining high standards of behaviour and pupil engagement.
• Collaborating with the English department and wider school team.
