Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or recognised equivalent teaching qualification.
• Strong knowledge of the English curriculum.
• Experience teaching English Language and Literature.
• Ability to engage learners and communicate complex ideas clearly.
• Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply).

Responsibilities

• Plan engaging lessons across English Language and English Literature.
• Develop learners' reading comprehension, analytical writing, and communication abilities.
• Deliver purposeful lessons across language and literature, developing reading and writing skills.
• Encourage discussion, interpretation, and evidence-based responses to texts.
• Assess written and verbal work and provide constructive feedback for improvement.
