Job summary

Marsworth Church of England Infant School is seeking an enthusiastic teacher to deliver high-quality teaching within a supportive team. You will plan, differentiate tasks, assess progress and report on attainment, while upholding the school’s ethos and developing positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents.

You will contribute to policy development, attend meetings and participate in performance management, ensuring inclusive practice and safeguarding for all learners.

Responsibilities

• Implement agreed school policies and guidelines.
• Support and uphold school policies, procedures and initiatives.
• Plan appropriately to meet the needs of all pupils through differentiation of tasks.
• Be able to set clear targets, based on prior attainment, for pupils’ learning.
• Provide a stimulating classroom environment with accessible resources for all pupils.
• Keep appropriate and efficient records integrating formative and summative assessment into weekly and termly planning.
• Report to parents on the development, progress and attainment of pupils.
• Maintain good order and discipline and respect for others amongst pupils and in line with the school’s behaviour policy.
• Participate in meetings related to school management, curriculum, administration or organisation.
• Communicate and co-operate with specialists from outside agencies.
• Lead, organise and direct support staff within the classroom as appropriate.
• Participate in performance management for appraisal of staff and/or own performance.
• Contribute to and support the aims and ethos of the school.
• Attend team and staff meetings.
• Ensure learning resources reflect equality policies and the school’s commitments.
