Job summary

Wolverhampton Grammar School invites a skilled musician to teach Cello and Double Bass. The post currently covers half a day a week during term time and may expand through the year. You will deliver individual, paired and group tuition and may run a string ensemble, working with the Head of Music to inspire pupils across the music programme.

The successful candidate will be committed, well-qualified and capable of contributing to an award-winning music department with enthusiasm and organisation.

• Ability to work effectively within an award-winning music department.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality individual, paired and group instrumental tuition in Cello and Double Bass.
• Support the promotion of music across the school community in collaboration with the Head of Music.
• Provide opportunities for pupils to engage in music at all levels and in varied forms.
• Organise and run a string ensemble where appropriate.
