Job summary

Aspire People is assisting a popular Cardiff secondary school to recruit a Business Studies Teacher for GCSE and A-Level. The role starts after half-term on a long-term basis, teaching across Key Stage 4 and 5 with a focus on exam preparation.

You will plan engaging lessons, monitor progress and work within a supportive department to raise student achievement and foster a positive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Experience teaching Business Studies at GCSE level.
• A-Level teaching experience is highly desirable.
• Strong subject knowledge and a passion for business and enterprise.
• Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
• The ability to motivate, challenge and inspire learners of all abilities.
• A commitment to raising standards and student achievement.

Responsibilities

• Teaching Business Studies across Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5.
• Planning and delivering engaging, challenging lessons that inspire achievement.
• Preparing students for GCSE and A-Level examinations.
• Monitoring progress and providing effective feedback.
• Creating a positive and ambitious learning environment.
• Working collaboratively with an experienced and supportive department.
