Job summary

Kirkcudbright Academy seeks an enthusiastic part-time Music Teacher (0.6 FTE) to join the Expressive Arts faculty until July 2027. You will deliver music teaching across key stages and work within a friendly, inclusive school community in Dumfries and Galloway.

Applicants must be registered with the General Teaching Council for Scotland (GTCS); PVG checks are required prior to a formal offer. Secondment may be considered with line manager approval.

Qualifications

• GTCS registration is required to teach in Scotland.

Responsibilities

• Teach all aspects of Music at Kirkcudbright Academy within the Expressive Arts faculty.
• Contribute to a supportive, inclusive learning environment for pupils.
• Support school policies and participate in relevant school activities.
