Job summary

Ricardo is seeking an Inspector (Day Shift) to join a small team delivering high quality transmission components for motorsport and aerospace. The role embraces a right-first-time philosophy and supports continuous improvement in a busy manufacturing environment.

Based in Leamington Spa, this on-site position offers a contract or permanent opportunity. You will inspect components from drawings, use manual measuring equipment, and may programme CMMs.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of technical drawings and geometric tolerances.
• Interpret and inspect components from drawings and planning route cards.
• Experience using manual measuring equipment and table work.
• Programming experience on CMM and knowledge of Mitutoyo software advantageous.
• Proactive, innovative approach to team support and continuous improvement.
• Flexible in supporting other areas of manufacturing when required.
• Willingness to work additional hours to meet deadlines.

The Role

This role involves working in a small team to deliver high quality transmission components, mainly for the motorsport / aerospace industries, with a right first-time philosophy.

Key Competencies and Experience

• Strong understanding of technical drawings and geometric tolerances.
• Ability to interpret and inspect components from drawings and planning route cards to the highest quality and within routed timeframes.
• Experience using manual measuring equipment and performing table work to check parts against drawing or planning requirements.
• Programming experience on CMM and knowledge of Mitutoyo software would be advantageous.
• Demonstrates a proactive and innovative approach to team support, with a strong focus on problem solving and continuous improvement.
• Flexible in supporting other areas of manufacturing when required.
• Willingness to work additional hours to meet delivery deadlines.
