WSR are looking for an Inspection Operative to join the team of our esteemed client based in Daventry.

Location: Daventry, Northamptonshire
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Shift Pattern: Double Days - Monday to Thursday - 6am-1:45pm / 1:30am-9:15pm / Fridays - 6am-11:30am / 11:15-5pm
Salary: £25,700

Inspection Operative Responsibilities:

• Carrying out visual and physical checks on printed materials
• Identifying issues like colour inconsistencies, smudges, misregistration, and other print defects
• Setting up multiple slitter units
• Operating a 100% visual inspection system
• Splicing rolls using a splicing table, following precise customer specifications

Inspection Operative Skills, Experience and Attributes

Must‑Haves:

• Experience in a printing or manufacturing environment
• A razor‑sharp eye for detail
• A methodical approach and strong focus on accuracy
• A team‑first, safety‑first attitude
• Confidence following processes, manuals, and quality steps
• Basic computer skills

Nice‑To‑Haves:

• Previous print inspection or quality control experience
• Familiarity with defect detection tools
• Ability to read and interpret artwork, job specs, and production instructions
