In this role, you’ll support customers who prefer digital engagement over face-to-face interaction. Your focus will be on promoting and selling products, services, and solutions offered by the Discrete Automation / Fluid and Motion Control Business Unit.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be :
  • Develop accounts with potential through proactive sales activities, including cold calling, cross-selling, and upselling.
  • Focus on customer retention and long-term relationship building.
  • Prepare customer quotations that are on time, technically accurate, commercially verified, offering the best all-round solution.
  • Move / train transactional accounts on the online shop to enhance efficiency.

Make sure customers' daily requests are taken care of (prices, delivery times, requests, .)

  • Maintain accurate and complete records in CRM.
  • Ensure that purchase orders are commercially complete and accurate before processing for order entry in accordance with relevant procedures.
  • Provide advice on technical solutions and benefits.
  • Communicate with manufacturing locations for queries regarding lead-time, specials, etc.
  • Attend customer meetings as required, including customer site visits.
  • Ensure activities are carried out inline with agreed departmental KPIs.
  • Attend relevant technical and commercial trainings as required to maintain a high level of product and process knowledge, including new products as and when released.
  • Comply with local and international Emerson Trade Compliance and Quality Management procedures, as well as the Emerson Ethics policy, with respect to all business activities.
  • Other responsibilities as reasonably required.

The ideal candidate blends technical expertise with a proactive sales mindset, comfortable with both relationship building (farmer) and seeking new business (hunter).

  • Open and positive, with a "can-do" attitude in good and bad times.
  • Not afraid of cold calling and proactively developing accounts.

  • You act with a clear sense of ownership.
