Job description

Are you looking for a new job opportunity in a dynamic, values‑led and supportive organisation? We are seeking confident and compassionate adult trained nurses to join our friendly and effective team on Ward 2 at Coalville Community Hospital. The ward specialises in stroke care but also has sub‑acute beds and a palliative care suite. Our wards are nurse‑led which will give you high levels of autonomy and satisfaction in delivering excellent patient care, supporting rehabilitation and increasing patient independence and quality of life. Our cohort of patients are increasingly complex due to the need to facilitate transfer from the acute trusts as soon as they are medically fit for discharge and to prevent admission from home to the secondary care sector. Successful applicants would have the opportunity to work collaboratively with the multi‑disciplinary team to help patients in their journey to return home and will also be able to develop their skills in nursing care and discharge planning. You are welcome to visit the ward during the application process. If you would like to do so or you have any questions, please contact - jacqueline.mitchell17@nhs.net
Free parking is available on site and there is a bus stop near to the hospital. The Trust encourages a healthy work life balance and flexible working opportunities are available. The Trust provides extensive learning and development opportunities for you to progress in your nursing career.
