A leading health service provider in Scotland seeks a dynamic Inpatient Services Manager/Lead Nurse for Mental Health Services. The role involves providing leadership and operational management for high-quality, person-centred care. The ideal candidate will possess substantial management experience, with a focus on service development and risk management. A Registered Mental Health Nurse (NMC Level 1) with a degree is required, and a Master's degree is desirable.
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated individual to join our Senior Management Team in Inverclyde HSCP. The post of Inpatient Services Manager/Lead Nurse for Mental Health Services is an exciting and seldom available job opportunity. The post holder will provide visible leadership and operational management for Mental Health Inpatient Services, ensuring the delivery of high quality, safe and effective person-centred care.
The post holder will drive continuous service development, redesign and improvement projects in line with Inverclyde HSCP and NHSGGC objectives, working closely with community Service Managers and Health and Social care partners. The post holder will be responsible for managing resources effectively, including workforce planning, budget management and performance monitoring. The post holder will act as a role model, promoting compassionate, professional behaviours and support staff wellbeing by fostering a culture of learning, innovation and continuous professional development.
The successful applicant must have significant management experience, with a proven track record in service development, change management and policy implementation, with a strong understanding of risk management, clinical and care governance. The post holder will be a Registered Mental Health Nurse (NMC Level 1), educated to degree level and working towards or holding a Master’s degree is desirable. The post holder will require registration with the PVG Scheme and report directly to the Head of Service for Mental Health Services.
